Image Taking Hubs Pilot Service

BEMS is excited to share progress on the new Image Taking Hub pilot being delivered in partnership with three PCNs across BaNES; Three Valleys, Unity, and Minerva. This pilot is supported by funding from the SWAG Cancer Alliance.

These dedicated clinics will allow patients to have high-quality clinical images taken of their skin conditions, which are then securely shared with the RUH Dermatology team for remote review.

The pilot will be starting in July 2025, and will run from the following sites in B&NES: 

• Elm Hayes Surgery

• Newbridge Surgery

• Chew Valley Medical Practice

• Combe Down branch Surgery

  
  

The team have taken delivery of the new equipment and have attended comprehensive training.

The goal is to streamline dermatology care by reducing waiting times for assessments, reserving face-to-face appointments for complex cases, and avoiding unnecessary hospital visits.
